Papers
- XTAG System - A Wide Coverage Grammar for English (1994 · 46 citations)
The paper describes XTAG, a grammar development environment for building a broad-coverage English grammar in Lexicalized Tree Adjoining Grammar (LTAG). In LTAG, each word anchors elementary trees that encode its local syntactic and predicate-argument constraints. The system chains several components: - Adapting a Medical speech to speech translation system (MedSLT) to Arabic (2007 · 5 citations)
The paper extends MedSLT, a grammar-based medical speech translation system for doctor–patient diagnosis dialogues, to Arabic. - Determining Determiner Sequencing: A Syntactic Analysis for English (1994)
English allows sequences of determiners, such as all these, both the, or half the, but in a fixed order, and some sequences are ungrammatical (all what no).
