- MoBA: Mixture of Block Attention for Long-Context LLMs (2025 · 80 citations)
Standard softmax attention grows quadratically with sequence length, which makes long-context LLMs expensive to train and run. - Improving Cross-lingual Information Retrieval on Low-Resource Languages via Optimal Transport Distillation (2023 · 46 citations)
Cross-language retrieval for low-resource languages faces two problems. Multilingual encoders such as mBERT and XLM-R are pre-trained on unevenly distributed data, so they represent these languages poorly. Relevance-labelled CLIR training data for such languages also barely exists. The authors propose OPTICAL, which… - MMErroR: A Benchmark for Erroneous Reasoning in Vision-Language Models (2026 · 1 citation)
Most vision-language benchmarks score only whether the final answer is correct. They cannot show whether a model actually understands why a line of reasoning breaks down. MMErroR addresses this by testing whether VLMs can spot a flawed multimodal reasoning chain and name the kind of mistake it contains.
