- Habibi: Laying the Open-Source Foundation of Unified-Dialectal Arabic Speech Synthesis (2026 · 2 citations)
Arabic has roughly 30 spoken varieties. Before this work, no open-source text-to-speech system covered them in a single model. Three obstacles stood in the way: large lexical and phonological differences between dialects, little audio clean enough for synthesis, and no shared benchmark for comparing systems. - UniSonate: A Unified Model for Speech, Music, and Sound Effect Generation with Text Instructions (2026 · 1 citation)
Audio generation is usually handled by separate systems for speech (TTS), music (TTM) and sound effects (TTA), each with its own kind of input.
