- Evaluating Universal Dependency Parser Recovery of Predicate Argument Structure via CompChain Analysis (2021 · 2 citations)
The paper defines compchains, a short code for the chain of ccomp and xcomp relations that runs from the root through verb nodes, and uses it as a proxy for whether a parser recovers embedded predicate-argument structure. - Modeling the Ordering of English Adjectives using Collaborative Filtering (2022)
The paper asks how a learner could pick up productive knowledge of English adjective order (why "big red ball" sounds right and "red big ball" does not) using only counts of adjective pairs, without hand-built semantic classes.
