- Distillation Traps and Guards: A Calibration Knob for LLM Distillability (2026 · 1 citation)
Knowledge distillation (KD) from large LLMs into smaller students sometimes fails without warning, and the same mechanism lets others copy proprietary models. - Controllable Contamination Detection for Reliable LLM Evaluation with Statistical Guarantees (2026)
LLM benchmarks often leak into pretraining corpora. When that happens, high scores may reflect memorization rather than real ability. Existing detectors try to separate unseen (clean) test items from seen ones, but black-box access limits them. Some contaminated items therefore slip into the "clean" set.
