Papers
- Adapting Sequence Models for Sentence Correction (2017 · 77 citations)
The paper examines how to make neural sequence-to-sequence models competitive for sentence correction, which is the task of rewriting a possibly erroneous sentence into a fixed version. - Similarity-Distance-Magnitude Activations (2026)
Language models often give highly confident wrong answers. Softmax-based uncertainty estimates also break down under covariate shift or on out-of-distribution inputs. This paper proposes the SDM (Similarity-Distance-Magnitude) activation as a drop-in replacement for softmax at the final layer.
